Introducing Shery Clein

A mature lady living in JHB grew up in a middle-class family. The youngest of 4 children. Shery realised early on in life she had to be self-sufficient, independent and fend for herself to survive.

Shery had a yearning for learning, totally intent on improving herself mentally, spiritually and physically. Her main turning point was when she learnt to meditate; this prompted her to study alternative modalities of wellness, nutrition and yoga, focusing on the mind, body and spirit genre.

She developed impressive skills growing her own business in the health & wellness industry. She persisted until she succeeded. Being an entrepreneur taught her good people-handling skills, administration systems and day to day operations. She has business expertise and is familiar with social media and online marketing.

Obviously, notwithstanding trials and tribulations, she learned valuable lessons and now loves sharing her journey with others. An entrepreneur, multifaceted self-taught lady, mother & grandmother: dependable, hardworking, and flexible who works with total transparency and integrity. Shery has a rich knowledge of Living the Mindful Way, which she practices in her daily life.

Shery believes entrepreneurs can come from humble beginnings, so long as they’re willing to work hard, commit to their ideas and take the risks necessary to see those ideas become a reality. Transformation is an ongoing process that tends to appear ordinary when, in fact, something extraordinary is taking place.

Shery’s comment: “I believe that coaching is releasing a persons potential to maximise their performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them!”

First and foremost, before we start with any major changes, it is very important to ascertain that your physical body and health is operating at peak performance.

Go for a physical overall check up. Ask your doctor to give you the green light on all health aspects. Usually we look at :

  • Colon cancer screening
  • Stepping on the scales
  • Blood Pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Blood Sugar
  • For women (Pap smear, mamogram)
  • For men (Prostate)
  • Skin – moles
  • Eyes – Testing
  • Immunisations (Covid Vaccine/ Flu Shot)

10 Important Tips Shery Advocates:

Meditation

The first place to start is to learn how to Meditate.

Based on the practice of Jon Kabat Zinn: Kabat-Zinn has defined mindfulness meditation as “the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally”. By focusing on the breath, the idea is to cultivate attention on the body and mind as it is moment to moment, and so help with pain, both physical and emotional.

  • Meditation is the number one thing that contributes towards transformation.
  • Spending 15/20 minutes a day in quiet meditation. Silence is golden.
  • Breathing naturally allowing thoughts, ideas and inspirations come to you.
  • Allow yourself to live your life and operate on a day to day basis. In the NOW.

Goal Setting

Setting up an intentional life with realistic attainable goals:

Based on Anthony Robbins: Setting goals helps us grow and expand, pushing ourselves to transform in ways that we never imagined. In order to feel truly fulfilled, we need to know and feel like we’re working to achieve something. Tony Robbins says, “Progress equals happiness,” and setting goals is what gets us there.

  • Focus into what you are feeling and clarify what you truly want. Ask yourself…
  • What do you want ?
  • What do you really want?
  • How do you want to feel ?
  • What is important to you?

Diet

Eating habits is an enormous field. As in introduction we will cover the principals of a plant-based diet based on:

  • Anne Ornish, and Dean Ornish, M.D. UnDo It!, their bestselling book.  They describe their landmark research showing that simple lifestyle changes—eat well, move more, stress less, and love more—canreverse (undo) the progression of the most common chronic diseases.

Sleeping

Sleeping habits: Based on Dr. Michael Breus. “Dr Michael Breus is not just The Sleep Doctor. Trusted with hundreds of patients, he has appeared numerous TV shows, he helps raise money for charities and has educated millions of people. He is fun, informative, and engaging.” Sleep impacts everyone! When you don’t have a restful night, it can have an effect on your mood, health, family and even your job. So, whether you are struggling with insomnia or you are simply looking to improve your sleep, I have tools, tips and resources designed to help you.

Finances

Financial stability:

Also, another gigantic subject, herewith my favorite interpretations:

  • What does the Bible say about wealth and prosperity?

Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
